De Westfahler Bahnhof oftewel station Bimberg-Westfalen is het grootste station van de westelijke zone in Bimberg. Deze stad die in de volksmond als Bimber bekend staat is nog altijd verdeeld tussen Oost- en West-Duitsland en ligt precies op de grens tussen beiden. Wel is er al ruim 30 jaar vrijheid waardoor de stad voor personen en goederen steeds meer als één geheel is gaan functioneren. Deze EuroCity-trein naar Zwitserland is vanochtend dan ook zijn reis begonnen aan de andere kant van de rivier, in 'der Ostbimber'.
